My name is Mrs. Schwankl and the first thing I want you to know about me is that I LOVE to teach and work with kids! I have been teaching for 19 years, working with kids in grades kindergarten through eighth grade, both in the regular classroom and special education.
This will be my fourth year as a 6th grade teacher at Lakeview. I am VERY excited to meet my students and share the year with them. Each student is important to me, and my priority is to help them feel school is a safe and welcoming place where they will want to learn. I will be teaching literacy to all 6th grade students.
I live in Cottonwood with my husband, Mr. Schwankl, and my two children, Ethan and Lucie. Milo (dog), Roxy (dog), Oakley (cat) and Jazzy (cat) are the four very lucky pets that live at our house. They are spoiled! I also volunteer with various animal rescue groups and often have a foster dog or cat at our house.
When I am not teaching, I like to read, relax by a lake, play with my kids and spend time with the furry family members.
