• PSEO INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS


    If you are considering PSEO or College Now courses for the next school year, please read the information provided, look over the attachments and let Mrs. Buntjer know if you have any questions.


    Student eligibility requirements
    Seniors - need to have a 3.0 GPA or above and be in the top half of their graduating class*
    Juniors - need to have a 3.0 GPA or above and be in the top third of their graduating class*
    Sophomores - need to be in the top 10% of their graduating class and have scored in the 90th percentile on a nationally standardized test.


    Deadline to qualify
    All students need to complete the Minnesota Department of Education PSEO Program Notice of Student Registration form and submit to Mrs. Buntjer by May 14th, for both PSEO and College Now courses.


    How to apply and register for College Now Lakeview Courses
    Step-by-step e-application and registration instructions from SMSU are attached. This process will cover courses taught by Lakeview teachers at school In person.

    How to apply and register for online or on campus PSEO courses
    Students should contact the postsecondary institution of their choice to find out admissions requirements, which courses are offered, and what the application process / timeline is at that institution.  MNWest information can be found at: https://www.mnwest.edu/admission/pseo


    Additional requirements
    Students must communicate with Mrs. Buntjer during this process and identify the courses they are planning to take to ensure graduation requirements are approved.
