About Lakeview Schools

Lakeview School is comprised of two communities:  Cottonwood and Wood Lake.  The school is located in the town of Cottonwood, MN - 13 miles North of Marshall, MN.  Lakeview's enrollment is approximately 710 students in K-12.

The Lakeview School District’s mission is to equip each student with the tools needed for life by providing a quality education that is innovative, comprehensive, and individualized, creating experiences that challenge our students to achieve their full potential. 

Activities and Athletics

Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Dance Line, Baseball, Softball, Track & Field, Golf, Clay Target League, Cheerleading, Swimming & Diving, Hockey, Wrestling, Gymnastics, Knowledge Bowl, Speech, Mock Trial, One Act Plays, Math League, Robotics, Art Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions, FFA, National Honor Society, and Student Council.
Special Programs
K-2 Grandparents' Day, Spelling Bee, Literacy Family Night, Jump Rope for Heart, I Love to Read Month, "One Book, One School", 6th Grade Living History Museum, Snow Week, and Red Ribbon Week.
