My name is Bonnie Wasberg. I graduated from Concordia College in 1986 with a FACS degree and SMSU with a Birth to 3rd grade license and a K-12th grade reading licensure. I remember my father talking Norwegian to me and I would draw pictures of animals as a young child. He would tell me stories of when he was a child growing up in New Rockford, North Dakota. We also played cards together as a family. I have grown to appreciate my parents and others who have influenced my life.
My entire ethnic background stems from the Scandinavian Country-Norway. It had been my dream to travel to Norway with my parents. My father passed away on November 7, 1985, so my mother and I traveled to Norway after I graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead Minnesota.
My primary reason for deciding to become a part of the teaching profession stems from my belief in that any job I do will be centered on teaching others to succeed. A teacher facilitates helping students develop self-esteem, the love of learning, the ability to think of their accomplishments, self-discipline, commitment to work, and a feeling of wanting to do their best. My family visited around the table and talked which I believe brings a firm foundation for the desire to continue to learn.
On June 17, 1989 I married Kelly Wasberg. We currently have 3 children: Annalise who is 21, Sadie May who is 18 and Karter who is 15.
It is my pleasure to teach in the Lakeview schools!
