Lakeview Reopening Plan - Fall 2020

Back to school

Face Coverings must be worn when visiting Lakeview School.

As of July 25, 2020, per the Governor's Executive Order 20-81, people in Minnesota are required to wear a face covering in all public indoor spaces and businesses, unless alone.

Fall Planning Information

The Minnesota Department of Education will announce how Minnesota Schools will reopen during the week of July 27.  Minnesota Schools were told to plan for 3 scenarios (It is possible for all of these scenarios to be implemented during the 2020-21 school year);

  1. Full Distance Learning
  2. Hybrid Learning (combination of in-person and distance learning)
  3. In-Person Learning

This letter will provide a few key pieces of information to help share our planning progress to date.  Please take a few minutes to read through this information.  Further communication will come from the district once the State of Minnesota determines how schools can open.  This communication will include; fall reopening plans & procedures based on current Minnesota Department of Education protocols and guidance, a brief survey for you to complete, and further information around the school calendar and school events & activities.

It is important that we all work together and support each other in these reopening efforts so that we can operate as safely as possible for our students, staff, families, and community.  We are very much looking forward to having students back in the building this fall and we will keep you up to date via school messenger, email, school website, and social media as details evolve.  Have a great rest of the summer, Stay Safe and Be Well!

Sincerely,

Chris Fenske

Superintendent of Schools
