Community Survey

Dear Lakeview Parents, Staff, and Community Members

The Lakeview School District is reaching out to all District residents, including parents and staff, in the next few weeks to gather input regarding District educational facility needs with a community-wide survey.

We have hired School Perceptions, an independent educational research firm, to conduct the survey and ensure all responses are kept confidential. We are asking that all Lakeview district residents complete the survey that will begin arriving in resident mailboxes as early as Friday, September 11. You can complete the survey online or complete the paper copy and mail it back using the envelope provided in the mailing. To ensure data integrity, each survey invitation/link code can only be used once. The survey access number will not identify you; it simply links you to the District's survey.

As our original building and outdoor facilities approach an age of 20 years the time has come to take a look at urgent needs and also to plan for future years going forward.  The goal is to keep the tax impact to a minimum (any increase would be for a period of 4 years), repair urgent needs before they become larger more expensive items in the future, and to ensure our facilities are top-notch for the safe and positive experiences we offer to our community and students in Preschool through Grade 12. Information regarding the facilities survey, facilities task force committee members, potential project details, potential tax impacts, and facilities analysis can be found at

The survey will be open through October 9 at 5:00 PM.  If you are a district resident and would like another survey code for another eligible voter to complete please contact Heidi Beck in the district office at (507) 423-5164 ext. 1300

Thank you for your cooperation in completing the survey and we appreciate the support you have for the Lakeview Public School District!
