Starting October 5, 2020, all students enrolled at Lakeview Public Schools will be able to eat breakfast and lunch for free due to a recent extension of the Summer Food Service Program by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The USDA says that the availability of free school meals will continue through the end of the school year.
Please continue to fill out free and reduced meal applications if you qualify. If for some reasons funding for free meals runs out, the schools will revert to their regular meal rates and those who qualify to continue receiving free meals will need to have a current approved application.
The intent is to provide one breakfast and one lunch per student, per day.
Students will still be charged for a la carte items, second entrees, additional fruits and vegetables, and additional cartons of milk. (Keep money in your student’s accounts for seconds, and for when the free meal program ends.)
Any students who are distance learning and would like a meal, will need to contact Lakeview Food Service at email@example.com to receive access to our “Distance Learning Meal Request” survey. Pick-up is in the district office from 11:00 – 11:20 am on days school is in session.
